Team Edison Friesians comprises of Jackie Crockett and are based in the South West of England. Jackie had purchased her first friesian in May 2002 after attending a Parelli Natural Horsemanship demo in 2001. She thought they were absolutely beautiful, & unlike anything she had seen before with their charisma and undeniable presence.
Because the search to find a friesian in the UK proved to be so difficult, Jackie decided to start Team Edison Friesians.
The name comes from Jackie’s brothers Company, Edison Ford Independent Financial Advisers (www.edisonfordifa.co.uk) which sponsors her under the ‘Team Edison’ Logo.
We endorse the natural horsemanship approach and apply this technique to all our horses.
Jackie was one of the first people to start to supply quality safe & sensible friesians horses to clients in the UK. Most people Jackie had not considered the possibilities of the Friesian as a riding horse, as most people, thought of them as a carriage horse. Jackie is pleased she has been instrumental in promoting the friesian breed as a lovely riding horse & serious dressage contender.
We only buy horses through one source from our partner based in Friesland in Holland.He has bred Friesian horses for over 40 years to an incredible standard, having bred an approved studbook stallion & also two model mares! One of his model mares has also made preferent & prestatiemerrie, the highest grading a mare can obtain. See(horses page for explanation at our sister site. www.friesianhorsesforsale.co.uk). This is quite an achievement bearing in mind the FPS only choose 5 Stallions a year for the breeding programme & only 8 mares a year make model. We know he will only find us the best quality horses, the majority of which have at least a 3rd premie, with most of them having a 2nd & some a 1st.
